AUoSH Ra goes to buy books

Assignment for

that poor, poor old man.

I used ~CoOkKoO 's old shop owner in my scribble-comic ... I hope that was okay. I thought it was funny how Phyllis terrorized him, and well, I wanted to do it again.

I noticed a trend in which the AUoSH students end up getting their books free... So I wonder how the bookstore stays in business.

*shrug*

Anyway I'll explain since a few of you may have forgotten a minor detail about my OC. (who reads that closely anyway?)

I know Ra doesn't really seem all that scary. And in most situations, there's really no reason to be afraid.
Being a bit naive and, well, somewhat lazy, people often forget how powerful Ra really is. (if you can think it, Ra can probably do it... for a price.)

Ra's eyes can give people a little reminder of the power that simmers beneath the surface. It effects everyone a little differently. Sometimes the reminder can unsettle a person, or just make them uncomfortable, or in some cases, deeply frighten them.

If you have a phobia, insects for example, the feeling you get from Ra's eyes might be the equivalent of a wasp crawling over your fingers. Or it could be like a standing at the edge of a cliff when you're afraid of heights. Or maybe thinking about your own death...

That's the feeling. that's the sort of fear. it can be mild, or severe depending on the person.

Thus, Ra's eyes are normally closed. and the issue can be avoided.

I didn't go with Ra to the store this time, so, naturally to read, one's eyes must be open. And Ra forgot. Poor store owner.

Ra sometimes needs reminders.
